When tyres lose pressure and there is nothing wrong with the tyre itself it is often the case that the coating between the alloy wheel and the tyre has become unstable or lifted, this allows air to escape.
To repair this we remove the tyre, blast the affected inner rims of the wheel clean of old coating and recoat it. We then apply a reseal paste before we refit the tyre. The wheel with the tyre on is then tested for air leakage to ensure the reseal has been successful.
Although this type of repair is successful in solving air leakage, it is not as long lasting as full alloy wheel refurbishment.
